Colors of MemoryIt was warm in the house, not as he’d remembered before. Years had past since last he’d walked through the threshold of his childhood home. Nature had taken a firm grip on the pealing walls. Vines and molds of greens and browns crawled and smeared its way along the once white walls. Time had stolen its pigment, trading instead with shades of yellow and black. Carpets once soft plush and snowy, now crumbled underfoot. Its fibers lay now a living rug sewn together with moist pine needles and brown and red maple leaves.Colors of Memory
